News from the VA

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs distributes updates on their work.  This includes discoveries, research projects, new benefits, and so forth.  Seattle Post 1 is subscribed to the e-mail distribution list for their news releases and updates.  Below are some of them.  The main VA website is www.va.gov

VA Puget Sound Healthcare System is conducting their "Blitz" as they call it, to vaccinate as many VA Healthcare patients as possible.  This takes place 12-16 Oct, and 19-23 Oct.  The webmaste scheduled through and received their shots from the CBOC.  Since that time, VA has Robo-called twice asking Veteran if they would like to receive the booster, and or Influenza vaccinations, and a number to call (206) 716-5716.  See the 2021-10-05 VA MyHealtheVet link below.  The crucially important part of this is for the Veteran patient to connect with their healthcare team - they can make it happen!
